Who Are We?

East Superior Christian Church is an independent, non-denominational congregation that belongs to the fellowship of Christian Churches & Churches of Christ around the world.

We are a New Testament church built upon the principles taught in the word of God. We have no creed to subscribe to other than Jesus Christ is Lord. We have no doctrine other than the Bible. We do not claim to be the only Christians. We strive to be Christians only.

The Lord’s Supper

Each Sunday we gather as a group of believers in Christ to celebrate our freedom from sin because of His sacrifice on the cross. As Jesus asked His followers to eat the bread and drink the wine at the Last Supper in remembrance of Him, we remember His death, burial and resurrection by partaking of these symbols of His sacrifice. We celebrate this each week because the Bible states in Acts 20:7 and 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 that the disciples of Jesus practiced the Lord’s Supper each Sunday as they gathered to worship God together. If you are an immersed believer in Christ we invite you to participate with us.

Our Purpose

The starting point for our ministry is God, not human activity or need. The authority for our ministry is the Bible. The focus of our ministry is people, not programs. The goal of our ministry is mature Christians, not simply converts.

The outreach of our ministry is in the lives of our members as salt to our community. The means of reaching our community is by spiritual reproduction, not just spiritual addition.

The extent of our ministry includes spiritual and physical human needs. The span of our ministry includes both the city of Alma and other people groups.
